Benefits Manager
The Benefits Manager designs, administers, and communicates the organization's employee benefits programs, ensuring offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the total rewards strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and ancillary plans
- Lead annual open enrollment process including communication, system setup, and employee education
- Evaluate benefit plan competitiveness through benchmarking and vendor analysis
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations
- Partner with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to manage plan performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and escalations
Typical Qualifications
- 5+ years of benefits administration experience
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations
- Experience managing open enrollment and HRIS benefits modules
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly
