Benefits Manager

The Benefits Manager designs, administers, and communicates the organization's employee benefits programs, ensuring offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the total rewards strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and ancillary plans
  • Lead annual open enrollment process including communication, system setup, and employee education
  • Evaluate benefit plan competitiveness through benchmarking and vendor analysis
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations
  • Partner with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to manage plan performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and escalations

Typical Qualifications

  • 5+ years of benefits administration experience
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations
  • Experience managing open enrollment and HRIS benefits modules
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly
