Payroll Manager
The Payroll Manager is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
- Manage payroll system configuration, updates, and integrations with HR and finance systems
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll-related journal entries
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Lead payroll audits and support year-end processes including W-2 preparation
Typical Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a management role
- CPP certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance
- Experience with platforms such as ADP, Paycom, or Ceridian
- High attention to detail, discretion, and ability to meet strict deadlines
