Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
  • Manage payroll system configuration, updates, and integrations with HR and finance systems
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll-related journal entries
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Lead payroll audits and support year-end processes including W-2 preparation

Typical Qualifications

  • 5+ years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a management role
  • CPP certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance
  • Experience with platforms such as ADP, Paycom, or Ceridian
  • High attention to detail, discretion, and ability to meet strict deadlines
